    G Loomis BSR 803 GLX

Guys I’ve got a BSR 803 GLX with the recoil guides. I believe it’s from the first year they went to the recoil guides. I’ve only used the rod sparingly. I think I fished a stupid tube with it. Anyways, I was just wondering what techniques others use with this rod or what techniques you’d recommend to use with these rods. It’s a good rod but I just never use it but I’d like to start. So what would you all fish with this rod?

Smaller jigs, flukes, sheaky head, and lighter tx rigs

I've got a BSR 803 mossyback, so pretty similar. It's fairly stout. I use it for jighead inserted tubes, weightless flukes, wacky worm and shakyhead.
I tend to like the shorter length for skipping around docks and such.

It's a medium heavy with a lot of backbone and sensitive. Too powerful for "finesse" fishing in general. It makes an awesome rod for skipping a Senko under a dock. It's plenty powerful to fish jigs and good sized texas rigs too.

Will you sell it lol I honestly threw a jerkbait on it exclusively growing up and loved it it’s a good rod to skip wacky rigs around docks got the tip to sling it and plenty of horsepower to rip em out from under the dock
