Playing With PVS

Messing with the PVS one of my Promax Props today!
All holes closed but gained a slight off idle hesitation when I 1st mash-it.
It was noticeably better with 2 of the 8 open.......I haven't tried 4 open and that will be my next step!

For anyone interested, I opened 4 PVS today and things went South. The boat shot forward then stood up really high in the front and went back to a high rpm break over like many boats do. You'd have thought I was carrying 4 more passengers!
Removing PVS plugs is suppose to let the engine spool up quicker, which it does, however on MY boat with ptp at +1.5 it also keeps the prop from biting hard enough to alleviate the break over because it's turning loose after the initial forward momentum.....thus the high bow break over.

I think I'll take the slight bog as in the video with holes closed as it shoots straight forward without having to break over!
NOW time to do some adjusting on the Brucato acu the clean up the transition from idle to WOT!!!

Yes, but knowing what I know now I wouldn't have had the other 4 machined in it as it seems to perform better on my rig with only 2 open with small holes or all closed!
