    Ranger Z520C Evinrude ETec HO Prop question

    Hi:


    I want to buy a RX4 prop for my RangerZ520C with first generation ETec HO 250HP outboard. I have done some search. It appears to be many people usin 25 pitch RX4. I notic RX4 has 15 inch in diameter. It is half inch more than standard 3 blade 25 pitch prop. I want the prop be able to run high 5000 RPM. Does anyone use a 24 pitch RX4? If you are using a 25 pitch RX4, what is the max RPM you get? I can't make a decision between 24 vs 25. If the diameter was 14 ish, I would take 25 pitch no question.

    15" diameter means you can run it higher prop to pad. Lots of people run a 25 bravo xs prop on that boat with a Mercury 250 proxs which is a cupped up 24" bravo and they run hydraulic jack plates too.

    You will need to drop in pitch. I tried a 24p rx4 on a 225 g2. had to sened it to croxton for a repitch down to a 23 to get rpms up. boat is a z119. great prop with good speed and handling
