Leaf Spring Follow Up - Fender Damage

Okay guys, I finally got the SOB apart?

I discovered that on top of the fender the Gatorhyde has bubbled from the tire getting into the fender.

    Two questions.

Can the Gatorhyde be repaired? I thought about putting a pin hole in the bubble and shooting some super glue in there.

I will look at it today, but should I have the tire checked before towing it again?

I truly appreciate all of the feedback on the previous post. I will be replacing all four leaf springs in the next month or so when time allows.

    Thanks.

I had someone hit the back end of my trailer in the parking lot last year.....it broke the boat buckles, reflectors and messed up the the gator hyde on one side.....i called Master Marine and they guy told me over the phone to buy the "spray in bedliner" in the aerosol can and use that cause it's the same thing they use......i ended up taking it to a local truck shop and have them do the spray from there machines......so far its still on there and hasnt peeled off.....if you look close you can see the match line but not much you can do, not like you can "blend" it like paint.....it has that defined edge in the hyde......

Cool, mine is a small spot, I may take the fender off at some point and have it done, or use the spray on. I just don't want it to rust.

I've used this, almost exact match except mine has faded some and the new stuff is slightly darker.

At least with it being under the fender you can over spray the area, add an extra coat or two and no one will see it.

Nope right on top where the tire got into it. Also cut a groove around the tire, picking up two new ones in the morning, love it.

If the other two tires are five years old you better get 4. Trailer tires are crap! I learned the hard way.

No sir they will be two years old this summer. I did not put many miles on them the first year. I went ahead and bought two today to get on the road.
