    Grip for Phenix swimbait rod.

I was contacted by another rodbuilder to make one of my cork grips for a Phenix USB 790H he was building. 3" foregrip and 13" rear grip. Been tinkering with it since November. Finally finished it up Wednesday and shipped it out yesterday.

Thank you. Grip design and construction is my favorite part. I absolutely HATE wrapping guides!

    That's absolutely stunning!

Without giving out secrets...how did you get the cork to inlay like that? I'm not trying to get trade secrets...just fascinated by this grip.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

This should shed some light on the process. Easier with pics. I don't have any pics of the initial glue-up, but it started as 2 1.5"x1.5"x12" blocks that were cut into strips and laminated together.
