    cleaning gauges

    What do you guys use to clean the gauges in your boat? Mine still work but have some sort of film on them that makes them hard to read. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Following, mine are the same way. I have tried plastic polish but that did not help much. I am thinking about using the stuff from my headlight cleaning kit.

    Wipe New. I used this on mine. I could not see through the gauges on my 201 now they are completely clear. Simple to use.

    On some if my customers boats I’ve used a 3000 grit compound and a wool pad....I have some smaller tools to buff items like this instead of a normal sized machine.

    I’ve had luck with lightly wet sanding them and then using rubbing compound, followed by some plastic polish.
