sorry I was just stating you can buy the 250 first. Yes you could just put a 250 cowling but would you be able to pass a polygraph test.

    Touche LOL

yea I knew you ran a Honda I got to meet you at the Classic. I sure wish they would come out with a 250 or 300 that would run with the 250 XS or Sho's. I would buy the Honda in a heart beat.

Nope Never made it to the classic, you probably talked to Ray Brazier.
I hope Honda has something in the next few years to help out the speed in the years to come. But I have always, Always bought a boat that I will Plan on keeping the rest of my life, and feel Honda is the engine to have.
I keep changing ever so often but I will never have anything except a Honda, Never know when the boat I have will be the last on for me!!!

No matter what boat I have when Im offered anything other that a hull powered by a Honda with Raymarine and MinnKota Trolling motor I will either swap stuff out or won't trade!!!

Though I have been really impressed with the Charger hulls over the Legend and Phoenix that I have run in the past. Not by much, but just enough to say if I was buying new today It would be between the Charger and a Phoenix!!!!

yes 200 thru 350 verado is physically the same and interchangable. The smart thing to do is buy the 250 and get the computor reflashed and make over 300hp easy

Funny you say that. My half sister was one of the first competitive female anglers back in the late 70's~early 90's. Those were the days when Roland, Forrest, Bill and all them were in their prime, and she fished with ALL of them. Back then motors were all something with a 5 on the end. Like 125, 175, 225 etc. She was running a Ranger with a 175 (all they were allowed to run) and as soon as she could get a 225 powerhead she had it installed, with the 175 cowling of course.

First week she spun the ring and pinion. Because of course the bottom end wasn't rated for the 225 and she had this big ol' 4 blade chopper prop on it. They fixed it, and literally less than a week later, not only did she break the ring and pinion, but LITERALLY THREW IT OUT THE SIDE OF THE FOOT!

Took it back to the shop and they of course asked her what in the &^*&!#@ was she doing?
She said; "I'm just trying to get outta' the hole!" (This was pre-hotfoot, so driving with the shifter/stick.)
The dude said; "You @#%#&* you HAVE TO LET OFF!"

From that point on she'd gas the heck out of it, and just before it'd bite she'd let off as the back end snapped up on pad. (Which it'd do RATHER quick and almost violently!) Don't remember the exact model she had at the time, but I do remember I've NEVER been so scared riding in a boat. She took my wife and I out in it, myself sitting in the floor between the seats, while she put on bubble goggles (like Dale Earnhardt used to wear), turned her cap around backwards, and next thing I know we were running almost 70 with what felt like maybe 16" (if not less) of the hull in the water.

My wife was yelling: "Why are we going SO FAST?"
My sister said: "You have to beat everyone else there."
Wife: "We're the only people in the !#$#@$%?!!^@$ LAKE!!!!"
