    fuel/seat base clearance

    Hi All
    Can anyone tell the clearance i have on a 2005 tr21x between the top of the fuel tank and the platform the seats sit on as i want to modify the centre seat to maybe screw to the platform

    I have looked into this to, It is way to close to even thing about drilling in this location

    Take one of the screws holding the current seat in that location out and insert an appropriate rod of some sort to determine the depth before you run into the tank. That's what I did on mine and I also cut the end of the screw flat so it would not have a pointed tip any longer.

    I have an 04 21X and have removed seats and the seat platform. It's not hard to do but is a PITA and once you get it all out you have access to the tank hosing/vent line etc. It is apparent why you can't drill or screw into the base just anywhere. I suggest you remove and see how it's done.
