    Dude. When you are in any kind of open water the 52 is the only way to go. I have had 52 shafts on Basscat 20’ hulls and now the V20 I wouldn’t go any less then 52. Period. I had a MG 45 that sucked and a 42 MK hated both.

    If you have a V20 or V21 just spend the little extra money and get the 52. I have a V20 and never would settle for the 45 inch in open water with any kind of wind at all. Easiest choice you will make.

    I questioned the 45 vs 52 when ordering my V20. Go with the 52" and don't worry about open water and wind. You'll be able to spot lock and fish off the back of the boat if you want.
