Question Help! -Steering Console Upgrade (useless stock graph)

I have a 2008 Ranger Z20 that has a humminbird 727 to the left of the steering wheel. I have upgraded units and was wondering if anyone has done anything with this space. I was thinking of taking this out and putting in something useful like a radio and was looking for ideas. Any suggestions or pics?

    Suggestion:
Remove the 727 and make a new filler plate with two openings for the two larger gauges currently beneath the windshield; move the large center gauge to the filler plate on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. Then remount your HDS 10 just behind the windshield with a Precision Sonar or similar mount.

You need to mount that new Lorance above the tach in the middle of the dash so it will protect you from insects at speed. Radio sounds good.

I bought a piece of plastic from mark miller at Polly fab that had a carbon fiber covering and filled old openings with it

BBT or Precision sonar have just what you need. Relocated gauges and put unit above steering wheel

What motor do you have? If it is a Mercury that is SmartCraft compatible, get a replacement plate for that spot or make a plate and mount a MercMonitor there.

Thanks for the help, I'm going to remove the top 3 gauges and place RPM where the 727 unit is and put the trim/fuel to the right side. Will probably go without the speedometer. Planning on getting new helix or solix, will go above steering wheel. Until then I will put satellite radio in place of 727.
