They showed him on a Instagram story and looked to be a late 80's early 90's Champion. He was 6th coming into today. I thought it was very cool he was fishing out of a older champ.

Their is a 2 or 3 part story on Bassmaster about him restoring that boat for him to use in the opens, pretty decent read.
Is the story on line? If so, can you post a link? I am on an antiquated internet system and need help to find info. Thanks!
Most of his rebuild articles are published in BASS Times. Didn't find anything online... The one I did wasn't too complimentary... Dan

Lea, I can't find it, the search function on Bassmasters is worse than the one on here, The articles I'm talking about go back at least 4 years.
Here's a search of the videos he mentions in the article above that are on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCod...ass+boat+alive
Went through the videos, and there is some pretty good info for those taking on a similar project or just maintaining their boat & trailer.
I rhino liner my 1995 trailer 5 years ago and it still looks new, I been thinking about using a color mix and making it match the boat

Help me understand...when rhino lining a tube trailer, how does this help since they rust from the inside??
Lea, mine has a lot of gravel chips where the step is in front of the fenders and the front of the fenders as well that Rhino or Line-X might prevent. I've looked up inside my tubes where the access for the wiring is at the back of the trailer and although I am seeing some surface rust, it appears there may be a coating inside my SC (Stratos Champion?) trailer.
A coating inside? Good!!!!! I have an SC trailer too. But still could be an issue with any tube trailer. If I ever need a new one, I will have an aluminum channel one built!
Same here ...
