I almost bought the jacket last spring at Fin Feather and Fur show. Tried it on , fit well , the rep was selling me on it, ready to buy until I heard the price. Great jacket if you can afford it, I can't.

I have FG2 (non-insulated) and love it. I layer underneath if it is cold enough and can use it more then if I got the FG25. Of course I live in TX and, with the exception of this year, I dont typically need the insulation.

Thanks! Did you think it ran small or large compared to what you’d normally wear?

I bought the F2 bibs and jacket last fall. Best purchased I’ve made for fishing other than the boat. I personally wouldn’t get the insulated. The F2 is plenty warm in cold weather with a couple layers of clothes on. Everything about their product is nice imo.

Also, the sizes are pretty standard in what you would usually order for yourself.

Are you guys running into problems with sweating in it? Looks good but I run very hot and rain gear will have to vent itself well to suit me. I wouldn't want one insulated, layer underneath.

I boat the insulated bibs and non insulated jacket and love them ... bit the bullet on price ... but best rain gear I’ve ever owned

bought one size bigger than I am for layering purposes depending on temps

I bought non-insulated jacket and bibs last year. I'm 6'1, 275 and the bibs can get a bit short in the crotch when layered up but it's nothing I'm concerned with. Can still sit and run the boat comfortably and the jacket fits well even with layers. Well worth the $$$ imo.

What size did you buy? Would you go up a size?

+1 Gill products are top notch and they are industry leaders in foul weather gear. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I use the Gill rainsuits. Both insulated and non. I have worn most others amd the Gill's are my favorite amd seem to be the best quality of anything I've worn. FG25 is myfavotire for spring and fall/winter.

Love my FG2. First rain suit I've had that the hood stays on while running.

Fg 25 suits are like 600 for bibs and jacket varies based on insulated vs non insulated ...

that at said the gill is hands down the superior jacket for bass boats because of the hood technology that doesn’t pull your head back and strain your neck
