    open water report?

    What's the water like in your area?

    East Central is still locked up. The rivers are all opening up but the lakes are still locked up.

    What's the southern part of the state like right now?

    The lakes around Boone are still locked up. I'm heading south on I35 next Saturday. Going to see if West Lake is open. If it's not then Little River should be open for sure with the super high winds the next few days as the cold front moves through

    pool 11/12 main channel is pretty open. Some backwaters still have open holes/thin ice. Cold snap probably didn't help the past few days. Pool 10 main channel is hit or miss open. Warmer days are ahead and it shouldn't be long.

    It seems like pool 12 is opened up all the way now, has anyone had anyluck catching anything? Planning on taking my boat out on 12 this weekend just to test run my boat and maybe do a little fishing.

    Almost got the boat out last weekend but with this weather today and now it looks like sunday/monday is 3+ inches of snow.....might be a couple weeks for me yet.

    Utilize the great river for all the fruits she will bear.... Catch your first 7 or 8 pounder you will be hooked or fry up a mess with some hushpuppies and fresh asparagus.
