There is a boat launch at the southern end of Shelburne Bay. I will say this if the wind is coming out of the North you will never get out of Shelburne bay in one pc.
Unfortunately, we have to use that ramp as the mallets bay location already had a tourney permit issued for the same days. I am just looking for recommendations on places to stay.

I would highly recommend trying to find a different ramp to launch up near south and north hero. The Shelburne bay part of the lake really limits where you can fish unless you do a lot of running. There also is very limited options on where to stay unless you want to pay a premium to stay at big hotel chains in Burlington
Unfortunately...that is where they issued our permit. May see if there is another option for us to move the permit to.
EDIT: Just looked at the VT tourney schedule. There are events already permitted out of South Hero, St Albans, & Malletts bay.

Check this place out. Early season when the water is high you can cut under the causeway into mallets bay and its a quick jump to the ramp in a boat. Or drive, either way logistics are decent and fisherman friendly.

Have to agree with 802spinnerbait. The owners are great people, and Dave is a hell of a fisherman.
This is for August...Early season when the water is high
Thanks for the information.

Look for "Stephenson Point" launch on North Hero. It's on the north eastern corner of North Hero. Will have good depth for August, will put you near LM and SM, it's a nice ramp that can handle 8 boats no problem. Tammy can change the location on your permit for you. There are cabins (Anchorage for one) all over the area up there.

It's hard to beat Hampton Inn in Colchester for accommodations , you don't have to disconnect and the poles have electricity , gas next door , restaurant on location. It's about 30 minutes to Shelburne . .. there is a decent Days inn closer but parking isn't great , forget about the motel 6 it's gross , I don't remember seeing any cabins around that area . I don't mind Shelburne ramp you can run up to Mallets pretty easy ... but if the wind is blowing in the bay it can make for a miserable day it will fish small.
