    Repower or buy new

    Guys,
What would you do. I have a flawless Stratos 21ss extreme with a 225 Ficht. The motor has been really good since new with no issues to speak of. It probably has 400 to 500 hours. With Evinrude 10 year warranty would you repower with a G2 or buy new boat.

If it ain't broke dont fix it. I say that because your ficht is still running. I'd leave it alone.
    Just my two cents.

I repowered mine ten years ago. I thought about just buying new. I am still happy with it. My 225 Ficht was hurt at the time though. The G2 is super nice. I think I will stay with what I have for now. Why don't you run it till the engine goes and then repower?

My 225 Opti went sour on my Stratos 295 Pro XL. I thought about rebuilding it, but found a fresh rebuilt 225 XS today with a season's warranty. It will be cheaper in the long run.

I had no choice, but I concur with the others, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I would like to add, if it's broke, "Shop around and save money, and it's plain inane to put a new motor on an old boat."
Maple syrup... I put that sh*t on everything!
