    UGH.....to much rain

It was a rough weekend. With all the rain Saturday my sump pump could not keep up and we ended up with 2" of water in the basement. We got most of the basement cleaned up yesterday but still have more to do today. I know this is a minor issue since there are people that are dealing with major flooding and losing everything.

How did everyone else make it through the rain?

I now have a pond in my backyard from all the rain. Going to try it out later and see if any bass are in there...

Fortunately, I live in an elevated area, so no water issues for me. My neighbor to the West of me, not so much luck. His entire yard was under water, around 4 feet of water sitting in his driveway.

1 foot of water in my basement/back yard is 18 inches deep,,,,,after rain this weekend. Sump pumps overwhelmed. Coulda just backed the boat down about 15 feet and started it and turned circles.

    How was the fishing Dan?

I hear ya Art. I am going to rework some of the yard drainage this summer. I also plan on adding a second sump pump.

Last night we finished cleaning up the wet boxes in the basement. Now we have fans and a dehumidifier going to help dry stuff up.

Good... Hitting everything from jigs to crankbaits... Took 18lbs+ to win the BFL and 16lbs+ to win the high school tournament on Saturday.

Hope you get everything dried out and the rain slows, a lot... Saw where we've gotten almost 8' of rain this month... I guess it's better than 96' of snow... lol... Dan

I've had water issues had GFCI tripped. I bought 2nd pump and put on different circuit as a backup. Screw the rain if I can't keep up now it wasn't from trying.

Sounds like fun Dan. I guess I need to head to TN to go test a few CB's.

Skeeter, that is what I am going to do this summer.

NEC says to place sump pumps on GFCI, but lots of folks place on a simplex outlet, near the sump. While I've never owned a home with a sump pump, I know what I would do.
