    I gotta odd one

    04 225 HO

Today while fishing my system check tach (on a Ranger) wigged out a couple of times. First when I start it it doesn't go through the normal beep and countdown. While at a fast idle it gives a very faint beep and flashes all four lights. While making a run to a spot it went through it's checks just like I had just turned the key on. I have done zero trouble shooting at this point. Wanted to throw it out there in case someone has experienced this and had some ideas.

    Thanks

That is an indication of a loose or broken wire on the key switch or touch pad. They can be hard to locate so with the key in the on position' move the wires leading to which ever you have and see if it will show up.

Thanks Dan. I'll start there. I trouble shoot simple and complex AC and DC circuits for a living so hopefully I can trace it down. Hopefully it's not the touchpad about to crash.
