    898 not reading puck transducer?

I have a 898 with both the SI transducer and the puck transducer hooked up with a y-cable. The unit only reads depth when idling, like the puck transducer isn't hooked up. I want to be able to read depth while on plane, which is what I though the whole point of running two transducers was. Is there something I need to change in the settings?

No setting change. The Y cable is electrical connections. The 2D crystal in the SI transducer is disconnected (no wires) and the added 2D is connected in its place.

Do you have the puck cable plug fully inserted in the Y cable plug so it locks into place?

Yeah the connections are good. Not sure what's going on.

You can test to find out where the issue is. Test on the water.

First thing is disconnect both transducers from the Y cable.
Next just connect the 2D transducer to the display---depth?.
Next disconnect the 2D transducer and connect the SI transducer to the display---depth?

If both work, you have a faulty or misconnected Y cable.
If 2D doesn't and SI does, the 2D is either failed or loose.
If neither work, you have a faulty unit.
