    Finally pro max results

Several on here know I have been trying to find a new prop. Well I decided to go with a 26 Pro Max. I finally got to run it a little bit today. I loaded all my crap and some extra Stuff for more weight. I also had a full tank of gas. I plugged one of the 4 holes. So my first 20 seconds after take off was WOW!!!! No doubt the promax pulls hard. I got to 79 fast. Hole shot wasn’t bad either. Got on plane in just a little over 3 seconds. The next wow factor was the handling. I felt like I was on rails. It was a dream to drive. The only thing I noticed was on top end it was about 1-2 mph slower on top end compared to my trophy. Of course I left the motor exactly the same as where I had it set for the trophy. My top speed was 82 when I added water to the live wells it dropped to a little over 80. I think if I had a little chop other than glass to run on I may have gained 1mph. I am no set up master for sure but as fast as I got to top speed It just seemed to stop. Felt like it took longer to gain 2 mph than it did to get to79. Tim Powell advised to set it to 1/2 below the pad. I may try and that. One thing for sure the trophy I had was a runner on top for sure. The promax handles much better on top though!

I haven't tried a promax, but the trophy has been my best driving fast prop so far. The txp is the fastest, but the handling wasn't there. Is it just me, or when you get to boat topped out it seems to be the hardest to drive? Mine does good until I'm trying to get that last bit out of it, it feels to be one the edge of dangerous. That being said, 82 is the fastest I have been so far.

Well that I don’t know. I was on a small lake just minutes from my house. The runs I made are less than 1 mike. Probably around 3/4 of a mile. I was a little more concerned with my driving and what may becoming around the corner. I just made 4 passes and I meant too look on the last run but I guess I was too thrilled with the handling and easy driving that I forgot.

Thanks guys. Randy I guess I’ll try a little tweaking on this one to try to get that 1 mph back. I’m just looking forward to a full day on the lake fishing. What little I have run it I really have liked the way it handles. The hole shot was not near as bad as I was expecting. It was a good bit better than the trophy.

once they hook up, they're fine just take a little while to spin
