    For those who loves steaks.....

    I LOVE STEAK!!!! LOL.

That being said we eat steak at least once, sometimes twice a week. When I was younger I only wanted them on the grill, but now that I'm older (especially in the winter) I prefer them in the Cast Iron Skillet. That sear is just hard to beat!

How do you all prefer em? Grill or Skillet? Pre-seasoned or seasoned while cooking?

If its warm outside, I like the grill. In cold weather, I’m a cast iron to the oven guy.

Funny you mentioned this as I just ate a Ribeye that I finished on a cast iron skillet.. Cast Iron is my 2nd favorite way to finish a steak with a charcoal grill being my favorite.

I don't remember what you call it I have a cast iron griddle that has the ribs in that make the grill marks. Cooks 'em good. My wife hates it because it smokes up the kitchen.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

Also on the subject of cooking steaks. Look into a Sous Vide cookeras you can get them at Walmart now. Well worth the money IMO.

Hard to beat a seasoned rub then grilled over mesquite coals until med rare then let rest for 10 minutes but I have to give the cast iron a try.

Weber piled up with so much charcoal it sets off the neighbor's smoke detectors ...

Never did the cast iron thing, a lot of top steakhouses do it that way.

Been wanting to try this method. Hear steaks are quite good and very tender.

Don't like stinking up the house so I'll do them outside on the coal grill and skillet. As hot as it'll get and 3 min each side... BAM-! Salt and pepper only.

These were last weekend and doing a couple of 'eyes tomorrow.
