Just curious, I know nothing's perfect but what's been your experience and opinions about these for your electronics

I've got them on mine, plus one on my Ultrex. Not sure anything is bullet proof, but if it slows them down a bit then I'm all for it.

I like them........never had anyone try and get them off but it would take some work if the did......then the alarm would go off.

They are just a deterrent. If someone wants to steal something, given enough time, they will. I always cover my boat and put the alarm on when I travel. If they hit anyone it will be the easy targets. I have the Durasafe locks on each unit and it would be a time consuming or very noisy task to get them off.

And I found out tonight that with Precision Sonar mount you need longer screws with the Durasafe locks that they don't supply.

I don't remember having to buy different screws, but it's been 2 years or more.

I didn't have to buy any new screws for either one of my Precision Mounts. The Durasafe locks installed just fine.

I have Precision Sonar Mounts on bow and dash with DuraSafe locks and only used the screws that it came with the locks. I just took one out and measured it. Thread area is 1 inch long. I am also using the spacer that PS sent with the mounts as well as a thin plastic washer that came with the locks for inside barrel of the lock. No issues n mine hope that helps

I have a PS mount up front over the tool holder. I am thinking of putting the DuraSafe locks on the screws that hold down the mount to the floor and on the unit itself. Any thoughts? Do you all think it will work? Please weigh in.
