Ultrex vs Fortrex Mount

Are they the exact same? Anybody switched to an Ultrex and left the Fortrex mount and swapped out the side plates?

I was told when I got my ultrex that u can put the fortrex in the ultrex mount but u can’t put the ultrex in the fortrex mount. Didn’t get an explanation why though.

A fortrex can fit on an ultrex but the Ultrex cannot fit on a fortrex Mount. You will have to change the base.

I run a fortrex on an ultrex mount. Odd it doesn’t work the other way. The new fortrex mount looks exactly the same as an ultrex. Must be a very minor difference

It's only 2 small pegs that line up when you install the motor to the mount that the ultrex has that the fortrex doesn't. The first ultrex that came out would fit either bracket but they changed it. I'm guessing it makes the mount more stable
