    New carpet in boat?

Anyone ever put new carpet in their boat? Where do you go to get it done and how expensive is it for a 19 ft boat? Thanks.

I've done a couple boats myself, had about $500 in carpet, glue etc. To have it done you'll get quotes from $1000-2000. Plenty of guys do it but you need to check out some of their work to see how well the corners are done.

I removed all old carpet and compartment lids. Sanded old glue. Bought carpet and glue online. Found a local carpet installer that I went to school with. Paid him a case of beer and $300. It was his first boat but he did a very job.

Hardest part for me was taking the old carpet off. I really need new carpet in my old Stratos, it's down to bare in many front deck places. I think I'll spill some hydraulic steering fluid on it and see if the old carpet comes off.

I had new carpet, seats re-covered (both bucket seats and 2 butt seats) and a cover that rachets from the side (so I can tighten the cover on my dock) and paid a little over $2,000 for all of it. This was a little over two years ago and the work was completed in the middle of winter.
