Curling is very popular around here.
My son watches a ton of sports, but constantly made fun of the "pretend sport" curling, UNTIL the Olympics started and he watched a few ends. There's a lot a skill and crazy amounts of strategy required to play at a high level.
It is a kind of laid back looking sport at times kind of like golf. Makes you wonder why but takes some mind games for sure.
I watched a replay of the Men’s gold medal game today. My wife had “oh God, not curling”look on her face until about the 5th game.
Put Down her book and watched it until the end, and said she enjoyed it. I love to watch Curling.

That's a fact but according to his local Fan Club President that is totally offset by the number of autographs he signs.
But it's so dramatic.... the look on their faces after the release is priceless. I'll bet curlers are those people that you see on a closed beach metal detecting... after the season
OK I concede you're right.. my FIL was British and played Cricket at Cambridge and for two years while in the British Army....I cannot figure it out and no it's not like baseball.
