Just got back from taking a look at these new rods. I didn't get to handle all of them or buy the ones I was interested in based on availability.
I was interested in the 724 and 725CBs as compared to the 3D 725CB. No 725 was available but the 724 was and it compares almost identically to the 3D 725CB in action. I haven't compared the ratings on each, but the rod may be slightly lighter than the 3D 725. Nice action for baits around 3/8 IMO.
The remainder of the rods that I compared to the 3D models seemed to be a bit stiffer compared to the equivalent 3D rod. The 775 is my all-around flipping rod in the 3D and the Endurance seemed pool cue stiffer in comparison. Same with the 755CB and the 764MagM. Both stiffer than the 3D version.
The rod I think I will eventually buy is the 744 spinning rod for "cracking" a tube like Zona does. A technique I think I could use on one of the lakes I fish.
All high-end quality components, cork, handles, guides. In terms of the stiffness of the rods I picked up, I think I like the 3Ds better than the equivalent Endurance.
And they're purple. Not blue. Purple.
