    Pairing helix to ultrex questions

Just purchased a ultrex tm with the i-pilot link. Im currently running with lowrance electronics but looking to make the switch to humminbird to pair with my tm. So my question is if I purchase the helix 10 g2 what else do i need to hook up to the tm to follow depth contours and other features? Do I need to purchase lakemasters to do this or can it be done with stock mapping? Thanks for your help.

LINK is an Ethernet connection. The Helix needs a AS EC QDE Ethernet adapter to connect an Ethernet cable to it. The LINK comes with a 30' Ethernet extension cable.

Lakemaster, Auto Chart, and Auto Chart Live are the only mapping that does Follow-the-contour.

Certainly, you have two mount choices:

    Humminbird AD MTM
    Transducer Shield and Saver TM-HX-1

Why is the humminbird AD MTM so much cheaper. Is the transducer shield and saver really worth the extra $$$. Whats the difference beside huge difference in price.

The Humminbird mount is plastic and the Transducer Shield and Saver mount is machined aluminum alloy.

Thanks for all you input Wayne. One last question I've been on the humminbird site and for me I need the mid south lakemaster card version 4 but not able to find it anywhere.

Trust me, if you think you might ever hit a rock or tree stump, get the Transducer Shield & Saver.
