Promised my nephew I’d take him fishing over Spring Break. Headed to Melvern as it is close to his location. He’s bass fished very little, mostly ponds, and I’ve never been on Melvern. Any ideas where to start for some small mouth? I’m told it’s not much of a black bass lake. Thanks for your help!
Good luck. The marina area usually has some fish that are easy to catch.
I would go a few miles south to Coffey County for smallest this Time of year.

I'd try the marina area, then the dam. Melvern is my home lake and we catch along the dam all the time
