    04 Optimax 250XS

    Seeing if someone might know whats my issue before bring motor to shop.Boat was running fine and just killed smartcraft gauge was giving me a code saying engine malfuction motor will turn over but wont start found out that im not getting power to my vst is their anything i can troubleshoot before bring to shop.Thanks

    Check plug under cowling on power cable running from motor to boat. Unplug it and put some grease on the pins and plug it back in.

    I would NOT try running the motor again without knowing the stored faults. It is possible that ONE of your problems is a connector was knocked loose, while the cowling was removed, but that is not the problem that caused the fault while the motor was running.
