Would you buy bass boat that was ran in brackish water???

I was looking at a bass boat and was considering buying but just found out it has been used in brackish water. I'm not for sure if I should still consider this one or not? What are you guys thought on this?

Only if I knew the person that owned it and if I KNEW they were anal about cleaning it.

The trailer would be the only issue.

Boat may be ok. Motor and trailer depends on care given after each trip.

I wouldn't buy it, as said to many boats for sale that have been used in fresh water.

Priced right and the boat I wanted - I would buy it without hesitation. Check trailer for rust, motor for corrosion and discount if necessary and go fishing.

All we fish around here is brackish water. Take a look at his tow vehicle. If it’s clean, he should have cared for the motor on his boat. The trailer will be obvious.

Just depends on how well it was maintained and cleaned. We fish brackish water all the time down here and if you checked both my bass rig and and tin rig, you couldn’t tell.

This is ridiculous. Fiberglass doesn't corrode and the motors are made for saltwater. If the rest of the boat is clean and doesn't show signs of corrosion then buy it. The only thing to watch is the trailer.

If it looks good you will be ok. If it's rusty then move on. I don't see why people ack like it's such a big deal. Many people around here fish the lower ends of the rivers which is brackish. They still have fine looking rigs after many years.

If it's a tube type trailer no. If it's a channel type trailer you can fully inspect it and know if it's rusting or not.
