    This is a long shot

I’m trying to find the name of a restaurant near Enid. I am guessing it’s 20 miles west, and I don’t think it has a sign. It is in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road. On the outside it looks like a place bikers would fear. On the inside it is dated, but clean. They serve the best steaks I have eaten in years. If you want one, you have to order a week ahead.

It wasn’t in anywhere. About a mile from Groendyke’s Ranch. When I say there is nothing there, it’s no exaggeration. There is a refuge full of Sandhill Cranes nearby (relatively). It’s also near a major river for the area.

Groendyks ranch (not Groendyks anymore) is between Geary and Watonga. Unless they have another ranch farther north, but I thought they were only in Kansas now. I can't think of any steakhouse out by that ranch.

Try using street view on Google Maps and see if you can locate it. I used to travel that road back when I was calling on lumber yards and I sure don't know of anything along that road.

They bought two ranches. One down south and this one near the restaurant. Kenny Crosswaite is the ranch manager.

The ranch out by American Horse was sold to a guy name Mark McKinley. So it must be the one farther north.
