Love mine!!! 2005 with a 200 HPDI. tops speed between 65 and 68 depending on load, but i have hit 71 with a light load. The P4s are not the smoothest riding or fastest Basscats because they a slightly larger and heavier that the P2 and are slightly smaller then a Cougar or Puma. The deck space and storage is much better than the than the P2. It basically is a slightly smaller cougar/Puma, but only carries a 200hp rating. Also due to its slightly small length It fits in a typical two car garage whereas the larger rigs will not.

I love my 08 PIV with 200 Opti. Top speed 68 with a 4 blade prop. Great hole shot, great ride, great storage.'
    Very minor drawbacks:
    Cooler size.
Dual Console gets in way of rod locker for long rods.

Highly recommended. I would buy one if I didn't already have one...

Where are the gas tanks on these boats located? Looking at a used one and the fuel gauge is extremely innacurate...bounces from full to elpty....wondering if its a bad sending unit and how difficult it eould be to replace

33 gallon under the seat, probably a 10 in the back. If you just see one small tank in the back, that's what you have. 2 small ones, then you have a 33 under the seat and two 10s.

no rear tanks just the 33 gallon.....any ideas how to access the fuel sending unit for the tank that is under the seat?

thanks....sounds like a chore! how do the seats even come out in these boats? every other boat I have ever owned are flip up bottoms (extremely easy to remove).

The Seatpan is just a handfull of screws around the perimeter.it will fold forward but you'll prolly need some one to help hold it.
