Onix Software Upgrade Path - Older Versions

I am behind on updates so want to get current for this season.

From what I have read I need to be on 3.04 before I can successfully update to 3.110. Anyone know where I can find v3.04 download so I can install that prior to going to 3.110? Thanks.

If you downloaded the software, you already have it.

    "
    • Software version 3.040 must be installed prior to 3.110. No damage will occur if 3.040 is not installed, but the update will not be successful. 3.040 is also included in this zipped file.
    • Once 3.110 is installed, the factory recovery will be updated to 3.110. Users will not be able to “recover” back to 3.040.

Thank you Wayne, I'll take the hit for missing that little bit...reading is indeed a skill lacking on my part.

So I'm going to assume that when I go to install, the unit will detect I am not on 3.04 and do that upgrade first...?

I have never put two updates on a memory card at the same time so I exclude "assume".

I always just put one file on a memory card at a time and install it.

I downloaded the file, and then had to manually select the 3.040 file and install it first. Then I manually selected the 3.110 and downloaded it into my units. It did not automatically install the older file.

When you do the upgrade you are supposed to backup waypoints, routes, etc. Is this because they get wiped out and must be re loaded after SW is updated? Or, just in case there is a problem?

You have to intentionally delete your waypoint library to loose them.
The suggestion is in case you have an issue and the unit memory has to be re-flashed.

You should copy your data occasionally and store it on another device "just in case".
