    I've been looking....

My 187 has been paid for for 5 or 6 years. Since then my finances have gotten good enough that I could have any newer bass boat that I want. Even a brand new one. Just for fun I have pretended I was shopping and looking at all the boats available out there. I'm happy to say that I have found absolutely nothing out there that I would rather have than my boat. I guess I will just keep saving my money for gas and lures. Nothing rides like a Champ!

Yep, the 187 is just so nimble out there in the chop.(I've never ridden in any other Champs) I could just drive all day, 40mph, nothing extreme....just loving it. can't wait til the 2+ feet of ice on our lakes is gone.

Lately I've had to work 6 days a week and am only getting the Champ wet about 5 times a year, so I've been going on short fishing trips in this:

Really gets me close to the water and the creatures. Sometimes I just paddle around and watch turtles and frogs, while sipping a cold brew.

I only have a month to wait!

My buddy is boat shopping and I can't say enough how good it feels to be completely happy with my boat. Boat shopping is so darn stressful.

Most of the lakes here are finally ice-free. This is the first weekend boat ramps are open here...probably won't get the boat out of the garage even.

We're having 60 degrees here today. The good news is that my kayak lake is wide open and the trout are biting. I'll yak for a few weeks then get the Champ out.

If I had choose it would be hard to decide between the BCB based on the 203 hull or the Charger based on the 210. But my 20 yo 202 is still in great shape and the 1,135 hr 250 ProXS is still humming. So I'm with you going to save some coin for fishing.

I'll bet that thing rocks with a 250. I think if I WERE gonna go bigger I would go all the way and get a 210. Either older Champ or new Charger. BCBs look good too.

I've mentioned before that after I sold my 201, I was looking for a late model (Limited Edition) 203, but none were to be found. I found a very lightly used 07 210 (only 10hrs on the motor) in March 2011 and have no regrets. Were I doing it again though, I think the 203 would still be top of the list. Charger is going to have the 198 out any time. They may be introducing it at the Classic. I sure do like the rod lockers of the Champ 20 footers though ...
