How often do you maintenance a DC reel and what are the steps? Is stripping it down or just lube and grease?

Same as any other reel. The DC only stands for Digital brake Control. Otherwise, the rest of the reel is just like any other.

Ahh ok I saw on YouTube this guy said lube every 5 outing as recommend and another forum saying it's more difficult to maintenance than a regular reel, I personally thought it was just the same as any other reel

The only part that would be of concern would be the actual maintenance of the DC unit itself

What are you gonna "maintain" on the DC unit? Its an electronic circuit board, there is nothing you are supposed to do to it.

Actually you need to be extremely careful lubicating or removing sideplate bearing....and the DC unit does get some attention....Dan
