Early March fishing trip, and I lock the keys in my buddies Jeep, while its running, on the ramp. Ended up calling my wife to get the spare key, she drove 70min one way to bring the key. She pulled up and tossed the keys to us and said " you owe me big time " Yes I did!

Yeah like the one who called my cousin for a tow.
He said when he got there the side window was busted out of I think a Mercedes. Child locked in the car an the battery was dead so fob wouldn't work. The cop tried to jimmy the door with no luck then the lady told the officer to bust the side window which he was much obliged to do so.
My cousin says the husband pulls up right after, shaking his head takes the keys as he walks past the wife and officer who at this time is proud for doing his duty and rescuing the child. The husband sticks the "key" in the door looks at the wife and officer turns it unlocking the door. Then asked my cousin to please replace window and battery while at his shop then call him when done. Turns walks away mumbling something about F'ing idiots.

We don’t and haven’t for many years. We will help you call a wrecker or a locksmith or we will smash the window if a child is inside and an immediate safety issue is present.

Question: Do you ever do stupid things?

Answer: Only if I am by myself or with someone. 😀👍

OK i think the statute of limitations has run out so will confess here. This was a LONG time ago.

Wife and i were recently married, bought our first starter home. It was an old farm house with a detached garage that sat behind the house. Had a long gravel drive that was getting old and i had to mow the driveway! I owned a K5-Blazer that I had lifted with big tires etc. I also drove a little station wagon for work and wife owned an old ford escort station wagon.

Ok I had to mow one day and was rushing because of an engagement we had committed to. I had backed the blazer to the end of the driveway, backed wife’s escort right up to the blazer then backed the work car right up to wife’s car.I am just finishing up the mowing and wifey hollers “hurry up, we are going to be late!”. I throw the mower in the garage, literally run to my work car hit the starter, slam it in drive and park up by the garage. Run back to her car, jump in and hit the starter and BAM!! I forgot her car was a standard transmission and I had left it in reverse. (Cheap cars in those days didn’t have the clutch safety). Remember I said I had a lifted blazer? Well it mashed the rear hatch completely. Luckily didn’t hurt the solid steel blazer! LOL.

Fastforward a week, wife’s car is in the shop of a friend trying to at least get the hatch to work and some of the metal half way straightened out. Wife takes my Blazer to work and when she comes home she sees me in the garage getting my boat ready for a tournament the next morning. Being the sweetheart she is she decides to back in the driveway to get it close to the boat for me to hook it up. The garage set behind the house so she had a fairly long back up job. I looked up and saw what she was doing then went back to my task, all of the sudden BOOM again. Apperantly she was using the drivers outside mirror to back with and didn’t notice the brick fireplace that was jutting out of the house on the passenger side! I walked up to the drivers door and she was just there with her head on the steering wheel crying her eyes out. Told her that was a heck of a way for her to get back at me for wrecking her car.
Needless to say that was an expensive couple of weeks with 2 car wrecks in our own driveway!!

When I was in the marines I locked my keys in 2 different Chevy s10 trucks. Both extended cabs. I used to drive home between Jacksonville nc and upstate sc and locked my keys in my truck on my way to the base. I was about half way on what is a 6hr drive. My dad drove 3 hrs one way to bring me the spare key.
The 2nd time my truck was running. I pried open the window on the extended cab just enough for a coat hanger to go thru and managed to slide the lock to open it. I was lucky it was in my barracks parking lot.

Police, Firetruck, and my wife all show up at the same time. Wife unlocks the car so all the rescue workers leave. To add to the shame, my wife took the baby home in her car.
I wouldnt never be able to leave that one down.

It would be longer than the taxidermy thread.
