    20xd advice

some advice and or opinions. 98 bullet 20xd. 225 sprt xs with sportmaster
and 1.62s. hydraulic plate 14" set back been running 1.75 above pad.
have been running 26 trophy 3 plugs open 1 large vent to 5750 rpm near 82.5
range on most days. ran a 26 hydromotive qiv x yesterday to 5850 but only
seen at or near 80mph. 8 holes all open. seen 5850 rpm at only 80.
terrible day to test with wind. however i did not have a smuch bow lift as
trophy and did not seem to have as much bite.would the 8 open plugs affect in anyway?
this is with full load nothing much left at home.

If you’re asking about the holes and lift....they’re just used on holeshot. A 20 don’t need a lot of bow lift. They run flat with the boat out of the water. When I had a 225 I ran a bunch of props...27 Hydro Q4 XOB, 26/27 Bravo I dual holes B & Bd and tweaked by Mark as well as a 26 Razor 4 were my best props. I always like 8 PVS holes...

    Was hoping it might affect
Some bite with the prop with eight holes.
    More testing I guess.

The holes shouldn't effect top end they should only allow the prop to vent if needed for hole shot. I have no experience with a 20' boats but you might try lowering the motor some to see if that helps maybe the prop doesn't like it that high I no on my boat different props like different heigh
