1986 150 johnson thermostat and poppett valve

The parts are new, the installation area is clean and in good shape but when I run the engine after replacement neither bank heats up. I've had this problem on other engines some times both banks and other times one or the other banks wont heat up. Looks like such as easy repair. Don't get.

If you are running muffs you may not have enough pressure. It may cost you a set of head gaskets to inspect the water deflectors in the water passages. If you do take the heads off may as well replace the deflectors anyway.

Sounds like you may have the pressure relief valve seat or the valve in backwards.
