Transducer shield saver or regular Hummingbird AD MTM trolling motor mount?

I'm wondering if anyone has had problems with the humminbird trolling motor mount for the transducer. I'm sure the shield saver is worth the money, but is the humminbird mount durable at all?

I installed the hb adapter this weekend on mine. Haven't had it out, but I'm not worried about it falling apart or anything. But again I haven't used it, but it seems like it's on there well. I'm not planning on running my motor into any docks so I don't have any worries. I'm sure the shield saver is nicer though, had one for my last lowrance unit, it's solid.
