    2001 Johnson carbed motor issue

I have a 2001 Johnson 150HP. Model# RJ150PLSIG. Serial# G 04934813. MFG date 9/2000. With renegade bass 4 blade prop and 6in. TH Hi Jacker. On 2001 Javelin Renegade 19. When i put in gear forward or reverse and push hotfoot the motor dies. I have noticed when i prime bulb it goes back flat within 2mins. I know this is an issue but is it my only issue with motor dying when i give it gas in gear? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Always replace bulb with OEM unit for starters. You may have a anti-siphon ball that is getting stuck, too.

    Yeah
If the primer bulb won't stay hard it's bad or a possible fuel leak.
    Possible bad fuel pump.

Just replaced my leaky carb bowls...still my bulb was flat. But I took apart my fuel pump and the diaphragm was all tore up from this ethanol fuel. Sounds like some type of fuel restriction

Easy and cheap things first....check those anti-syphon valves on top of the tank.....Knock the ball and spring out of it or replace with a brass 90* elbow and assure no air leaks at all connections from tank to engine. I would also have sync and link checked.
