    LOST SPEED AND LIFT

I put Talons on my 199 and just installed a 112 36 volt trolling motor, so I have added a lot of weight to back of boat. Before I could trim up to high and rooster tail would be 7 or 8 foot above motor, now I can trim it all the way up and wont get above my motor. Lost 4 or 5 mph also. Do I need to adjust my jack plate, or different prop? I have a 26 fury and a 25 that I damaged. Mark has fixed the 25 and should be deliverd any day. Let me know what you guys think.

If you were throwing a tail that high above your cowling you were over trimming to begin with.

For your problem tho it sounds like your not getting enough lift. Probably a combination of prop issue and jp height.

You added alot of weight to the rear which makes it sit lower and cause a higher swell behind the pad which puts your motor lower in the water at the same p2p.

Tried the worked 25 fury, done really good, had to trim up higher than before. Still lost speed , went from 73 to 69. Getting 5800 on RPM. Do you think I should raise or lower JP?

I'm getting 71-73mph wot with a worked 24p Fury. JP is set 4 1/4 below pad. You'll gain speed raising your jp but that 25 fury will blowout during holeshot

Hokie are you running a V20? If so it's surprising that you are running a 24Fury.

Yes im running a late '15 V20. My boat was the test boat used when they were having trouble with holeshot on the v20s. Went water testing a propeller dynamics twice and got mine dialed in. Instant holeshot and 71-73 wot @5890 wot.
