    Need to stop leaking lids

I have a 2003 champion 188DC. Most of the gasket going around my boxes are starting to fall apart and now anytime it rains, the insides of all my boxes get soaked. Any tips on how to prevent this besides replacing the gaskets?

Only thing I can think of that might help is to drill drain hole at the lowest point in the drain area around the lid and pipe it to the bilge
Speed cost money. How fast ya wanna go? I have done so much for so long with so little. I can now do the impossible with nothing!

Put these on 5 years ago, hasn't leaked since.
I know you don't want to replace it but it is WELL worth the money.

Steele Rubber Products in Denver, NC makes and sells these products for a lot less money than Cabela's wants, it's where they get it from. I know because it's right up the road from me and I just bought some to fix my boat, mine only cost $46 for the same thing for a 10' piece.

I used 3/4" door weather stripping. Been on for 2 yrs now and no leaks. Cheap, easy to apply and if it comes off you can find replacements at most any hardware store.

Excellent suggestion on the door weather strip. Cheap and easy. I use it all the time for doors and never once thought of it for my hatch seals. Should work great. Thanks again.
