Is there any reason why I cannot use the motor guide saltwater xi5 80# with spot lock GPS and attach a transducer on it for only fresh water use?
The Xi5 stows and deploys in such a way that you cannot, without the aid of some aftermarket products, run the transducer cable up and tie to the shaft. Also, when the motor turns, it is possible to break the transducer cable.
