My scales took a crap a couple weeks ago and I ordered a new set but sent them to my TN address by mistake. She was a lot bigger than the 8lb 11oz from a couple a month ago. I am sure she was well over 10. Laid her down on my 23in board and she was 4 inches past the end without the mouth and tail closed. And of course there was not a single boat in site to see if I could borrow a set of scales.

I caught a nice one and had a guy in a row boat ask Me how big the fish is/was..
I said "Its right around 8 or 9 I'd guess.."
Then He said "I have a scale if You want to see.."
I said 'sure..okay but I don't want to have it out of the water that long.."
and I trolled towards Him and He rowed towards Me..
I then handed Him the fish and He began to weigh it..
He says "It is 9.12, no 9.13..no 9.11.."
I said "thats great, thanks. We better get it back in the water..."
Prior to letting the fish I caught go, this guy took a few 'selfies' holding up the fish, just like He caught it...

I still look at 'images' so I could see if after taking 'selfies' he posted the pics to social media..

Nice fish hoss!! Hope that's not your home/goto lake. I learned a few years back that posting vids of nice fish being caught on smaller lakes, makes fish disappear somehow. (and boats appear!)

Very small lake. Ramp has parking for maybe 6 truck/trailers and I have never seen a single person fishing where I was (I drive down the street next to the lake all the time). Everyone always fishes the canals to catch the bedding bass
