I keep a spare prop and hub in the boat just in case it happens, and yes it has happened twice to me. Sorry about the bad luck, nice fish though.

How do you change props on the water?

Find a dock or raise the motor all the way up and use the troller to back the boat up to the bank

Thats what I thought, spare prop would not have saved me.

It was my fault, didn't trim down enough coming out of the creek turning left. I would not be afraid to put another promax on.

Very carefully... Have done it twice.. helps to be tall with long arms and a partner to hold on to your belt. Raise motor all the way up and turned as far as it will go.

In our series we can’t go on shore or a dock but we can jump in shallow water and do it.

That could get serious after a night of beer and Mexican food!

Me too brother when Mother Nature calls I'm leaving the boat in a hurry. Forest Gump style if I have too.

That's crazy, sometimes you just have to get out of the boat

In any trails we fish up here were allowed to go to the bank if an emergency. Having to change a broke prop/spun hub or running to the porta potty sure sounds like a necessity.
