    We touch shore or a dock us its automatic DQ. If we get a lure stuck in a dock you gotta cut your line and go get it after tournament is over. Did not realize this was not the norm.

    Geez, that is weird. Tournaments here just say you can't leave the boat to land a fish.

    I've fished tourneys since 1968 and never heard of a rule like that!?!

    Even the Elite Series allows anglers to leave the boat to retrieve lures. They just have to stop fishing until they are back in the boat.
