    Nacogdoches lakes

Going to Nacogdoches in a couple of weeks to fish for 3 or 4 days. It shows several lakes in the area including Nacogdoches, Nacondiche, and Rayburn close. Anyone have any suggestions as to which lakes to fish?

If I were driving that far, I'd try to hit all three for a day. I'd start with Big Sam, just in case you decide you want to give it another day or two.

All 3 lakes can produce big fish. The north end of lake nac is good. Naconiche can be tough to get around besides the open area but it has some monsters in it. Rayburn, well it's rayburn, always worth a shot. If it's on, it can be crazy, but if it's off it can seem like there's no fish in that lake. Good time of year though for the whole area. I say spend 1/2 day on lake nac and naconiche and then hit rayburn for a whole day. Then go back to where you liked the best
