    Another truck tire question.

My truck came with P285/45R22 Bridgestone tires and I want to replace them with a wider and taller tire. What I wanted to know is what is the widest I could safely go to without having to change wheels?

you have to determine how much room you have at full turn and if you are willing to hav a little rub at full turn. a good measure is turn your wheel full lock one way and see how much room you have in terms of height as well as width, then use a wheel calculator.

also keep in mind your suspension and if you hit a bump, how much your shock will compress

Some places won't mount any size tire other than whats listed on the door jamb because of liability issues. Make sure you have an installer first.

Depending on size of leveling kit. 305/45r22 should fit no problems

You really need to know the wheel's width before that question can be answered.

I go to toyotires . Com, find a line like the toyo at, then look at sizes, find the 22" rims, full specs, in that it will give you something like 8.0-9.5-11.0 tare tire for its given specs is on a 9.5" wide rim, and 8"-11" is the approved size, keep it in that window and write down the p metric size =315x30r22
