    Basemap download

    Do I need to download the basemap software if I'm using a Lakemaster chip?

    The Humminbird Basemap is the same coverage as Lakemaster, but none are HD.

    Are you saying the preloaded maps on my Helix are the same as the non HD maps on the lakemaster card?

    No all the locations are that detail no matter if they are HD or not on a Lakemaster card. They may be the same or close to detail of the Standard Definition maps. I don't have a Lakemaster map card to compare at the same body of water.
