    Ulterra Trolling Motor

Just my observation after my purchase. Well it was my bad for not doing more research on this when it comes to mounting a sonar unit. I did not realize the issues that would come about. So I purchased the Precision Sonar mounting brackets and proceeded to mount my just purchased Garmin Striker 7sv. First as others have said I ran into interference with the garmin and the trolling motor. So I took a chance and got Bass Pro to exchange it and the second one worked.

As of this past weekend everything works fine. My main reason for this trolling motor was to have the stow and deploy feature. Flipping is my favorite part of bass fishing in the south and I know this setup is not the most ideal when I get into the slop so to speak. One option is to remove the clamps when I know I am going to fish this way and just not have a sonar that day.

    Thoughts?

Could you wrap the clamps in something? Like electrical tape? Not sure if by slop you mean weeds and moss.
