Steering tight and creaking on Fortrex

I started to notice during the tournament this past weekend that my 2 year old Fortrex's steering was tight especially when it was being used (moving). It also makes a creaking noise when I turn directions. I loosened the troll tamer and moved the shaft up and down to new locations but nothing seemed to help. Could this be the cables? Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you hit something you could have bent the outer shaft. that is the big shaft that the main shaft goes through. If you did not hit anything the screws that attach the pinion gear to the shaft could be loose. Bring to an ASC near you.
